The Cisco ASR 1000 series is designed for high-performance networking. This control processor supports access control with capabilities of up to 4,000 unique ACLs and 100,000 ACEs per system. It can handle broadband applications with up to 64,000 sessions and 16,000 L2TP tunnels. For IP routing, it accommodates up to 4,000,000 IPv4 or IPv6 routes, alongside 100,000 multicast routes and 4,000 groups. QoS is flexible, allowing for up to 128,000 queues and three levels of hierarchy, featuring two LLQ queues per policy with a total of 4,000 policies. The system ensures low latency, under 100 microseconds, for critical applications. Real-time traffic capabilities include support for up to 4,000 CRTP sessions. In terms of security, it supports IPsec with 8,000 tunnels, firewall or NAT capabilities for 2,000,000 sessions, and a setup rate of 200,000 sessions per second. Carrier-Grade NAT can manage up to 4,000,000 sessions, while L3VPN supports up to 8,000 VRF instances.
