This passive CWDM OADM device enables the multiplexing and demultiplexing of wavelengths from several fibers onto a single optical fiber. The OADM connectors interface seamlessly with color-matching CWDM GBIC or SFP transceivers on the equipment side. Designed with two channels that travel distinct network paths (east and west), this single-wavelength OADM offers redundancy and protection in ring topologies.

Cisco CWDM-OADM4-1
The Cisco 4-Channel OADM enables the addition and dropping of four distinct wavelengths into a single direction of an optical ring.
